Superb Murano glass vase by Seguso Vetri d'Arte made using the Scavo technique, which gives it a patina and an antique appearance, reminiscent of archaeological objects. This process, developed in Murano in the 1950s-1960s, imparts a weathered look to the glass through a special surface treatment. This vase is hand-blown, making it a unique piece with slight variations typical of glass craftsmanship. It features a beautiful translucent blue-grey hue with iridescent reflections under light. Its hot-applied glass handles end in relief patterns that evoke antique decorative elements. Its aesthetic recalls archaeological objects found during excavations, perfectly fitting the taste for the Antique. • Origin: Murano, Italy. • Period: 1960s. • Technique: Hand-blown Scavo glass. • Colour: green with iridescent reflections.
