Office chair in Napoleon III style, dating from the third quarter of the 19th century, made of solid oak with a honey-gold patina. The backrest is in a semicircular shape known as "barrel", fully upholstered in brown tobacco leather secured by a double row of aged brass upholstery nails. The centre of the backrest is adorned with a carved wooden element featuring a shell or leaf motif, typical of the ornamental repertoire of the period. The front legs are turned with a ball decoration and fluting; the rear legs are slightly inclined sabre-shaped. The piece shows a consistent patina with its age, with some signs of wear on the leather and wood that do not alter the overall appearance. General condition is good. No restoration work reported; maintenance cleaning is to be expected. Dimensions: H. 80 cm – W. 52 cm – Weight: 18 kg. Shipping not included, weight 18 kg.
