This piece comes from the Belgian manufacture Émaux de La Louvière, known for the quality of its productions during the interwar period. It features a beautiful finely crackled ivory glaze, highlighting the volumes and dynamism of the composition. The treatment of the body, both naturalistic and stylised, as well as the quality of the modelling, perfectly illustrate the craftsmanship of this manufacture in the 1920s-1930s.
