A superb executive desk set produced by Ligne Roset in the 1970s, designed by the French designer Claude Gaillard. Made of varnished rosewood veneer, this set is distinguished by its understated yet sophisticated design, as well as its high-quality craftsmanship, emblematic of French furniture of that period. The desk, in the "Minister" style, features a large top that can be perfectly placed in the center of a room. It includes two discreet drawers on the front and a metal base accented with refined wood inlays. It comes with its original keys. A rare combination, the set also includes a matching secretary desk, which offers ample storage space for files and office supplies. The secretary desk is completely independent of the main desk (it is not attached to it) and can therefore be positioned beside or beneath it, as desired. In good vintage condition, the tabletop shows visible signs of wear consistent with its age: slight discoloration, cracked varnish, and small chips in places (see photos).
