1960s coffee table by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, Netherlands

A highly recognisable coffee table designed by Cees Braakman, manufactured by Pastoe in the Netherlands around 1960. This beautiful piece has a rectangular black lacquered metal base, holding a reversible top: one side is made of warm brown teak wood, the other one is white laminated. This allows a versatile range of use for different decors and situations, allowing the table to seamlessly adjust to its environment. Underneath the top are white wooden magazine shelves and a storage compartment which adds to its practicality.
