GRETE JALK LOUNGE CHAIR Armchair. 1958. Grete Jalk (1920-2006) was one of the most famous. Furniture designer in Scandinavia. Grete Jalk first completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and then studied at the Danish Design School "Danmarks Designskole". In 1963 Grete Jalk won a competition with the GJ Chair "Laminated chair" and attracted a lot of attention. Today, her furniture can be found in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. An armchair in teak, with loose cushions. The cushions and foam are new. Design: Grete Juel Jalk (1920-2006) Manufacturer: France & Daverkosen, Denmark. Very good condition.
