This console is a characteristic and remarkable example of the house's production. The structure, made of dark lacquered aluminium, features fluted legs whose vertical grooves introduce a note of classical rigor into an otherwise resolutely modern composition. The four legs end with distinctive square capitals in gilded metal where they meet the horizontal members of the frame — a recurring detail in Vandel's work and one of the house's identifying signatures. The whole is crowned with a transparent glass top that allows one to see the elegant substructure in its entirety.
