Rare set of swan neck coat hooks with mirror frame attributed to Maison Jansen, France, 1950s.

Elegantly shaped and finely crafted, this set consists of a mirror frame and two hooks - all decorated with shiny brass swan necks! Given the quality of the craftsmanship and the style of the swan necks, we strongly believe that this set comes from the famous workshops of Maison Jansen in Paris, France, in the post-war years (late 1940s to early 1950s). The set is in good condition with some signs of age and use - particularly the hooks show some wear, which is not surprising given their age and function. Although they clearly come from the same workshop, it seems that the mirror frame is coloured in a slightly lighter shade of green than the hooks (see photos for more details). The mirror frame is well-proportioned and could also serve as a photo frame. Overall, this is a very elegant set that will be just as decorative in the hallway of a city apartment as in a country house.
