Large handcrafted glazed bowl – radiant floral decoration. This unsigned glazed earthenware bowl is decorated with slip in shades of white, green, ochre, and blue on a nuanced brown background. The central star-shaped motif evokes stylized branches applied using a traditional technique similar to combed slip. The piece was thrown and fired upside down, as indicated by the raw reverse marked with three imprints. This type of decoration evokes the popular pottery of Eastern Europe, particularly Romania or Hungary, around the mid-20th century. A piece full of character, to hang on the wall or place as a centerpiece. Diameter 21 cm, height 4.5 cm. Good vintage condition, some signs of use and discreet enamel chips on the rim.
