This teak desk was made in Poland in the 1960s and is an example of post-war design, clearly inspired by Scandinavian modernism. At that time, Polish furniture manufacturers increasingly adopted simple and discreet forms, reflecting contemporary European trends. The shape of the piece is based on a classic cabinet layout. On the left side is a module with three drawers, and on the right, a lockable cabinet with a single door (a key is included). Above these, a suspended and recessed section with two additional drawers is placed, creating a distinctive two-level top. This solution gives lightness to the design and organises the proportions while enhancing the functionality of the work surface. The fronts feature integrated handles, milled with soft, rounded lines in solid teak. This detail is typical of production in the 1960s, when metal elements were abandoned in favour of joinery solutions integrated directly into the shape of the front. Slim, slightly tapered legs lift the frame above the ground, providing visual lightness despite the compact design. This piece has been professionally and carefully restored by removing the old finishes, staining, and finishing with varnish. The restoration was carried out by a talented and experienced carpenter with over 20 years of experience. Thanks to these treatments, the desk has a beautiful appearance and will serve its new owner for many years without fear of damage or wear from daily use.
