Swedish rustic farmhouse folk art blanket chest 1845

Painted Swedish folk art chest, dating from 1845. The chest is painted in a warm oxblood red colour and decorated with decorative brass accents. The paint shows beautiful, lived-in wear that adds to its historical character. Light signs of use appropriate to its age are present. One key plate is missing. The interior is practically arranged with a storage compartment and two drawers.
