A magnificent pair of stoneware plates in a soft beige-grey hue enhanced by characteristic brown speckles. Their surface, punctuated with ferruginous inclusions, offers a very wabi-sabi, mineral appearance, typical of pieces thrown in the stoneware workshops of the 1970s. Each plate is hand-thrown, with a slightly irregular rim and a very contemporary visual presence. The speckled texture is particularly successful: a spontaneous, vibrant decoration reminiscent of Japanese ceramics and the "light tenmoku" effect. While there is no indication of the maker's mark or origin, the grogged clay, the slightly green-grey satin glaze, and the emblematic pyrite strongly evoke the productions of the Maison du Potier de Guérande, where Gustave Tiffoche created numerous pieces in this style. Diameter: 18.5 cm. Excellent vintage condition, glossy, with no chips, wear, or cracks. For a slow decor and neo-wabi atmosphere, in keeping with the times.
