Box of 11 small spoons in Marly style CL in silver-plated metal – late 19th century

Set of eleven silver-plated dessert spoons, presented in their original case covered in brown morocco and lined with ivory silk. The decoration on the handle combines a medallion cartouche with symmetrical scrolls and a trilobed floral motif, in a Louis XV style that was widely disseminated by the major manufacturers of the time — Christofle leading the way with its Marly and Vendôme models — from the 1890s onwards. The overall shape, with a pronounced swan neck and deep oval bowl, is characteristic of high-quality French production from this period. Maker's mark PM with an anchor and a star. Very good condition, slight signs of wear. Length: 14.5 cm — box: 13.5 × 16 × 4 cm.
