Hello. I am offering this pair of 1970s wall sconces made of metal with their milk glass globe (more commonly known as opal or opaline glass). These two sconces, featuring a mix of round and straight volumes, have a visible spherical light source that creates a "sunrise" effect (photo no. 2) in a design that is both geometric and minimalist. The style is neo-modernist, influenced by the "space-age" design of the 1960s, but also has a retro-futuristic inspiration today. This model is very similar to Josef HURKA for Napako in CZECHOSLOVAKIA around 1970. A specialist in this style and era will be able to determine the exact origin. This model is quite sought after. Dimensions: see photos. The electrical wiring and socket have been replaced (photo no. 10). The electrical circuit is new for an E27 or E26 bulb (diameter with a 1 mm difference), and an electrical voltage of 230 V. These two metal sconces have just been cleaned and repainted in their original grey colour. The glass is delicate and should be handled with care. In perfect condition, these sconces, which are around fifty years old, are ready to be mounted on their original bracket, which will need to be screwed into your wall (see photo no. 9). The new white PVC socket (photo no. 10) has been sealed with epoxy resin onto the connecting ring of the old socket, which is still screwed to its original bracket. These wall sconces must be installed with the globe facing upwards for perfect safety and to recreate the warm and nostalgic atmosphere of the "seventies". The packaging of the parcel will include thick protective covers in a very sturdy box. Photos of the packaging will be provided. Very serious seller.
