Round Art Deco side table

Art Deco side table with two tiers, stained fruitwood. France, circa 1925–1940. Two circular tiers in warm brown stained fruitwood — the upper tier with a smaller diameter, the lower tier overhanging as a base — connected by four rectangular-section supports with rounded upper corners, characteristic of the French Art Deco vocabulary. Matte wax finish. Simple and geometric construction, in the spirit of small salon tables produced in series during the 1930s. Good structural condition. Surface wear consistent with age. Height: 57 cm. Diameter of the upper tier: 48.5 cm. Diameter of the lower tier: 57 cm.
