Pair of Supporto Desk Chairs by Frederick Scott for ICF Italy 1976

Pair of Supporto desk chairs, designed by the British designer Frederick Scott in 1976. Hille (U.K.) started the production of this model in 1979. These particular chairs were made by ICF Italy, who had the license to produce them for the Italian market. For the design Fredrick Scott conducted detailed ergonomic research on how people actually sit. The chair had to be comfortable, simple to use, easy to clean and durable. He succeeded, it became an international benchmark for office seating and won awards from the Design Council. The chairs are made of red lacquered cast aluminum and black lacquered steel. The seats are upholstered in black fabric and they have black castors. This version is not adjustable in height. The chairs are in good original condition. Some slight wear and a tiny lacquer damage here and there. Nothing to be worried about.
