Ancient berber pottery of the late nineteenth or early twentieth century. It comes from an ancient kasbah in the rif, a mountainous region in northern morocco. It is decorated with traditional geometric motifs painted using manganese (black) and iron oxides (red). These motifs are found on beni carpets and date back to the neolithic: purity of forms and simplicity of decorations. Unique piece ideal to bring an ethnic touch to its decoration: natural colors and typical berber designs. Perfect in vase for dried flowers or decorative object. This jar is a utilitarian family object and not pottery for tourists. These containers are often kept in cool cellars and are sealed for long-term operation as seasonal storage of all kinds of products: cereals, olive oil, figs, etc. Height: 26cm.
