Set of two beautiful plates in ochre-mustard tones, decorated with a stylized black and green floral motif, typical of a 50s-60s design (period often called “rustic modernism” or “neo-folkloric”). Stamped salins france with a character in a traditional headdress; the word “beaufort” is also visible, probably the name of the decoration or the range. The faïencerie de salins (jura) is a famous factory founded in the 19th century and integrated into sarreguemines in the 1960s, which sometimes explains common stamps or similar styles. This particular decoration does not seem to be one of the most common of salins, but it fits perfectly into their production of the time with stylized motifs, often floral or folkloric. In very good condition, some micro scratches from use. Diameter 24 cms.
