First Empire secretary "Return from Egypt" from the early 19th century, made of walnut and flamed walnut veneer with axial symmetry on the front and sides, opening with 4 drawers with keys and a drop-down front framed by 2 half-columns, featuring bronze rings, a writing surface covered in black leather, a rich interior theatre with 6 small columns and 7 small drawers, balconies with ivory and boxwood balusters, a secret drawer, having belonged to my great-great-grandfather born in 1818 who lived his entire career as a usher at the Palais Bourbon, passed down in the family from generation to generation. Veneer needs to be restored in some places, bronze needs to be reattached, and the hinges need to be checked.
