Danish ceramic wall plate from løvemose keramik, 1960s

A large wall plate from denmark from the 1960s. The object was made of brown clay with the addition of a very thick chamotte with a clearly marked edge at the edge. The plate is one of many unique designs from the løvemose keramik collection. The plate has a bracket to hang it on the wall. The item has been preserved in its original condition and has no cavities. The løvemose keramik factory was located on the danish island of langeland. It was founded by marie hansen and her husband johannes hansen, a potter. The company was very successful in producing mainly for the local tourism market and in cooperation with the retailer rasmus holbech in odense. The signature is at the bottom of the page.
