Large stoneware platter signed c. pitot, mid-20th century, black, white, and red glazed ceramic

Large fruit bowl-style platter, glazed in white and black with a red center, black underneath with a white, faded-effect rim. 38cm diameter X 10cm depth, unpacked weight 4kg. Marked in felt-tip pen underneath (unglazed terracotta part): "Handmade C. PITOT" (unidentified, related to the Belgian ceramist Maurice Pitot?). Small chip on the terracotta rim of the base (see photo), otherwise in excellent condition, no cracks or missing pieces.
