Napoleon III salon set consisting of a crapaud armchair and two matching cylindrical poufs. The armchair features a rounded barrel-shaped backrest, a generous seat, and a skirt concealing the legs. The winged armrests are adorned with velvet bows and falling silk tassels, a characteristic detail of the Napoleon III style. The set is upholstered in period pink/old rose velvet with a beautiful patina. The armchair's skirt is enhanced with a twisted fringe in silk passementerie. The two poufs display a scalloped fringe forming garlands, complementary yet distinct from that of the armchair. Their bases are lined with white canvas secured by nails, reflecting careful craftsmanship from the original production. Sold as is, as seen in the photos.
