Cache-pot / round planter in crackled porcelain mounted in bronze - the very fashionable model from 1890-1930. Description: Shape: round body in porcelain with an ivory / cream crackled glaze all over, typical of Chinese crackle. Mounting: patinated gilded bronze in the Louis XV / Rocaille style, heavily adorned: openwork crown at the neck with cartouches and small flowers, two large leaf-shaped handles ending in floral buttons, and a base with 4 scroll feet. This is what is called a European silverware mount on export porcelain. Mark: on the bottom, in red G & C + small number 5M. This is the mark of a French importer / distributor. The porcelain itself is Wong Lee 1895, Hong Kong.
