Wall-mounted cabinet designed for the kitchens of the residences in Les Arcs 1800 in the French Alps, as part of the interior design led by Charlotte Perriand in the early 1970s. Made of pine with three white laminate shelves, this piece combines great functional simplicity with a very architectural silhouette. The sculpted side panels, which narrow between the different levels, give the piece its immediately recognisable character. Originally intended for storing dishes and kitchen utensils, it can now be used as a wall shelf, open library, or display unit. The model is documented in a period photograph of an interior from Arc 1800, reproduced in the reference work by Jacques Barsac, Charlotte Perriand, L’Œuvre complète, Volume 4, 1968–1999, page 253. In good vintage condition. Beautiful patina of the pine, with scratches, small marks, wear on the edges, and traces of the original installation. Some old fixing holes remain visible. Stable structure.
