An absolute icon of 20th-century design, this LC4 Chaise Longue was produced by Cassina, the official manufacturer of the model designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand. This example features its original Cassina mattress in dark blue leather, as well as its headrest in black leather. The chrome tubular structure rests on a black lacquered steel base. The original leather shows a beautiful patina acquired over time with normal usage creases. Some darker areas, resulting from previous touch-ups, are visible. The chrome structure is in generally good condition with signs of use consistent with its age and a small localized area of chrome deterioration. An authentic and sought-after piece, produced by Cassina, that retains all of its original character.
