Romanian wool rug, red background with delicate colourful flowers

Colorful wool rug, red background with black stripes and charming colourful flowers. This rug is made by hand in the loom in a small village in south romania, about 40 years ago. A romanian kilim with colorful design. Can be used as it is or in 2 parts as area runners. Never been used, in very good condition. In that part of romania, years ago, every mom handmade for her daughters beautiful carpets and rugs as dot for their weddings. I grown up with this: every winter, at my grandmother' s house, women from the village, neighbors and relatives, spend the evenings and those long winter nights together, working on beautiful wool rugs or other handmade items. Nowadays the art of handcrafting rugs is almost extinguished. Now, we are trying to discover and put into the modern design context these beauties. This is our story.
