Romanian vintage carpet with stripes, made by hand in wool

Romanian carpet made by hand in wool, well preserved, wool tinted with natural pigments. Stripes in yellow, green and black on a brown background. Medium size, can fit any room. It is made by two parts, so can be made 2 runners from it. In very good condition, good quality of the wool, never been used. 212 X 156 cm. Tapis roumain, laine. Teppich. Tappetto. In the south of romania, years ago, every mom handmade for her daughters beautiful carpets and rugs as dot for their weddings. I grown up with this: every winter, at my grandmother' s house, women from the village, neighbors and relatives, spend the evenings and those long winter nights together, working on beautiful wool rugs or other handmade items. Nowadays the art of handcrafting rugs is almost extinguished. Now, we are trying to discover and put into the modern design context these beauties. This is our story.
