Square Biedermeier Carved & Scalloped Walnut Wall Mirror, Vienna, ca. 1850

An exquisite and elegant Biedermeier wall mirror from Vienna, Austria, ca. 1850. This fine piece showcases a beautifully profiled and gracefully scalloped walnut frame, distinguished by its rich, deep grain and refined curvature. The mirror has been carefully and professionally restored, with great attention paid to preserving its authentic antique character and patina. It remains in good condition with only minor, charming signs of age that have developed over the centuries. The mirror glass is most likely the original. It is, of course, free from any cracks or damage and, due to its age, shows some very light haze in places as well as a few tiny spots in the glass. We see these as charming witnesses to its history rather than blemishes, and the mirror can be used without any issue. A superb decorative object, both timeless and sophisticated, it measures W: 19", H: 27", D: 1.5", with a mirrored surface of 12" X 20".
