Work table

A piece of cabinetmaking that goes beyond a simple side table. By lifting the top, it reveals its function as a work table, unveiling a spacious interior entirely lined with deep red satin fabric. The exterior features remarkable marquetry in a "radiant sun" design on the top, framed by a checkerboard frieze. The structure, made of precious wood, rests on upholstered legs finished with brass hoofs. The interior, with its storage space, is lined with a silky vintage velvet textile, bordered with delicate trimmings. A brass compass allows the top to be securely held open for display. Once dedicated to needlework or correspondence, it will now find its place as a salon jewellery box, luxury cigar humidor, or elegant catch-all. Dimensions: Width: 55 cm. Depth: 40 cm. Height: 75 cm.
