Overview: Early Biedermeier two-door armoire from Austria, circa 1820. Prominent book-matched walnut veneer across the case and door panels. Design: Neoclassical, straight-lined silhouette with a projecting moulded cornice and continuous plinth base. Full-height rounded, ebonized columns flank the front, each with carved capitals and bases for an architectural appearance. Interior: Fitted with five shelf plates lined in black fabric for organised storage. Central lock escutcheon located between the doors. Materials & Colour: Main construction in walnut veneer on a spruce structure with ebonized column details. Warm brown walnut finish with black accents.
