Painted Folk Art Bridal Cupboard

Extraordinary bridal cupboard made of pine dating from around 1825. What is special about this copy is the beautiful painting. The cabinet has a beige base color which contrasts beautifully with the light blue panels. The crest is provided with initials of the previous owner. This copy is in very good condition considering its age with minimal signs of wear. The cupboard has a well-functioning lock with key and the inside is equipped with shelves and a rod. You can easily add more shelves if desired, the shelf supports for this are already present. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. This furniture was subsequently placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions. A beautiful and decorative piece of history.
