Mid-century fiberglass side chair with La Fonda base by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller, 1960s.

Vintage design. Original Herman Miller Eames side chair in fibreglass with black Hopsak and elegant La Fonda base. The classic by Ray & Charles Eames. The black Hopsak upholstery is framed with white piping. The filigree base gives the impression that the seat shell is almost floating on the slender stem. The old Eames fibreglass shells cannot be compared to the new polypropylene ones. The fibreglass structure makes a significant difference. The chairs are in very good condition with signs of wear. The upholstery has been professionally cleaned by Vitra's service.
