A copy of this series is preserved at the Musée du Quai d'Orsay in Paris. Félix Bracquemont was a French painter, ceramist, engraver, and decorator of objets d'art. As early as 1856, he was considered the first in France to discover the interest of Japanese art. The Japanese-style decorations, inspired by the engravings of the Japanese artist Hokusai, depict a rooster, a hen, and decorations of flowers and grapes.
