Napoleon III mirror, on a frame dating from the Louis-Philippe period. Blackened wood (pear or walnut) typical of the period (probably pear or stained walnut) with a black finish (lacquer or ebonisation), very fashionable during the Second Empire. Moulded profile with steps, simple yet elegant. Internal golden fillets (gilding with gold leaf or applied gilded bronze), providing contrast with the black. This type of black/gold combination is emblematic of the period. In good condition consistent with its age (some marks).
