This large art deco vase in black opaline glass, engraving, red decoration and chrome steel insert, is a creation of the russian artist anatole riecke, signed and dated 1938. Master glassmaker of la coupole, in paris, he is at the origin of the emblematic art deco decor of this parisian landmark during the 1930s. His very fine glasswork is manifested here with a cubist influence in the abstract patterns that contrast the very smooth surface of the black opaline.
