Pair of Cubist Vases by Anatole Riecke 1969

Pair of large cubist vases by Anatole Riecke 1969. Cubist motifs engraved, cold enamelled with natural pigment decorations. Anatole RIECKE was a Master Glassmaker at La Coupole in Paris. Of Russian origin, he worked in Paris and was responsible for the decoration of La Coupole from 1930 to 1937. His very fine glasswork is evident here with a cubist influence in the abstract motifs that contrast with the very smooth surface of the black opaline. Chic and timeless, this vase will complement both antique and contemporary styles. Signed A. Riecke and dated 69. 1 small chip on the back corner of the vase (photo) Height 50 cm and Height 70 cm.
