Extendable table, walnut, twisted legs.
Rectangular table with pull-out extensions, with twisted column legs and H-shaped stretcher. In the style of Louis XIII - Louis XIV, this table dates from the late 17th or early 18th century and was made in France (probably in Rhône-Alpes or Languedoc). The top is original and measures 140 cm. It consists of four boards with two sliding extensions under the top (58 cm each extension for a total length of 256 cm). Moulded apron; four twisted baluster legs on square bases with facets; ball feet; H-shaped stretcher turned in a twist. The patina and slight alterations are due to use, and the assembly pieces (tenons and dowels) are old.
