Fernand Flausch, Pop Art painting, mixed media on paper, 1973. Biography: Fernand Flausch (1948–2013) was a Belgian artist from Liège, trained at the city's Academy of Fine Arts, where he taught screen printing from 1973. A leading figure in Belgian Pop Art, he developed a colorful and abundant visual universe combining painting, comics, neon, video, and installations. In 1973, he won the Grand Prix at the São Paulo Biennale, marking the beginning of his international recognition.
