Superb set of three vintage compotiers in white dresden porcelain, dressed in a blue floral décor. Stamped below: dresden. Dresden porcelain owes its existence to augustus the strong, influenced by his taste for the beauty of this exotic material, as well as by the reliefs drawn by ceramic painters of the oriental and asian style. When johann friedrich böttger discovered in 1708; the secret of the manufacture of white porcelain, the king founded a porcelain factory in dresden, considered the "cradle of white gold" in europe, then transferred a few months later to meissen. Thus, since 1872, the saxon porcelain factory in dresden has been producing handmade items while maintaining the traditional methods accumulated over the centuries, allowing masterpieces to be made, in the style of the baroque and rococo movements of the time. This very old set with a delicate shine will add a decorative and luxurious touch to your table. It is also a nice gift for lovers of dishes and objects of yesteryear. The items are in good general condition but one is rugged and the other yellowed. (2 x) h 22.5 X d 12.5 cm - h 22.5 X d 13.5 cm. Bc 2022-615.
