Magnificent set of six antique majolica plates. They are stamped from the Pexonne factory, which was a renowned pottery in Lorraine, in the east of France. The pottery, founded in 1720, ceased production in 1953. The set consists of four green plates from the same series (note that one of them does not have a stamp, which must have been worn away) and two green and red plates from another series. They go very well together. Diameter of the green series: 19.8 cm Diameter of the green and red series: 21 cm They are worn by time and bear traces of their past, but they are in very good condition for their age, with no cracks or chips.
