Inlaid living room pedestal table, italy 19th century, circa 1850

The remarkably inlaid top of this low italian pedestal table, dating from the mid-19th century, offers an anthology of wood species!... Cherry, walnut, burl walnut, elm, oak, blackened pear, sycamore maple, mahogany, lemon tree, amaranth, rosewood... A forest on a plateau!!... And what time spent!... What work, and what talent!... The lower part of the base seems to have been restored, in the rules of cabinetmaking, it is stable and solid! The foot is removable: a large wooden screw connects it to the top. Good general condition, small traces of use consistent with age; ideal height for a living room table or end of a sofa. Length = 90 cm, width = 59 cm, height = 63 cm.
