Designed by Achille Castiglioni for BBB Bonacina in 1976, the square 'Trac' is a fully folding table conceived as a witty, space-saving solution for contemporary interiors. Its agile geometry and companion piece—the 'Tric' folding chair by the same designer for BBB—reflect Castiglioni's playful rigor and interest in transformable furniture. Executed in black-lacquered wood, the table balances a slim top with a light, structural base articulated by diagonal bracing. When opened, the proportions read clean and graphic; when folded, the silhouette collapses to a compact footprint, ideal for studios, guest settings, or temporary displays. The deep black finish gives the piece a sober elegance that pairs easily with both modern and vintage seating. A collectible, intelligently designed table that captures Castiglioni’s blend of humor, precision, and functional clarity within a compact format. Very good vintage condition, working folding mechanism. Small wear, very small lacks of varnish on edges and corners.
