Empoli Amber Glass Decanter Set by Wayne Husted, Handmade in Italy

A stunning set of five Empoli amber glass pieces, handmade in Italy during the 1950s–1960s by the Stelvia Glass Workshop. This collection includes four decanters with stoppers and one apothecary or candy jar. Three of the decanters are attributed to designs by American glass artist Wayne Husted, created for the American market. Two pieces retain the 'Made in Italy' mark, a hallmark of these exports. The pieces are crafted using the pressed or molded glass technique, showcasing the warm amber tone characteristic of Stelvia glass from this era. Dimensions range from 18.9 inches (48 cm) to 9.8 inches (25 cm) in height. Condition is very good overall, with one stopper showing a small, stable hairline crack at the base.
