Elegant soliflore vase in glazed stoneware made by the Nault pottery in Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, Nièvre. This piece features a slender and asymmetrical silhouette, with a conical base tapering to a slightly curved narrow neck. Its sculptural shape, both simple and original, gives it a beautiful decorative presence. The glazing combines a reddish-brown background with warm hues and generous drips of cream white and pale green. These layering effects, punctuated by fine bubbles and variations in texture, create a particularly successful abstract decoration. The Nault pottery, notably led by André Nault, is among the workshops that have helped to perpetuate the ceramic know-how of Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye in the 20th century. Rooted in the tradition of high-fired stoneware, it reflects the vitality of this pottery region, where the mastery of throwing and glazes has been passed down through generations. The Nault pottery is referenced in the book "Grès de Puisaye, de Jean Carriès à nos jours – Marques et signatures, " dedicated to the potters and ceramists of the region. A lovely collectible piece, representative of the explorations of forms and glazes from the workshops of Puisaye. Dimensions: Height: 15 cm. Diameter: 7 cm. Condition: perfect condition.
