Artisanal blown amber glass vase with integrated honeycomb structure.

Vintage amber blown glass vase – integrated honeycomb texture – 1960s/70s. A very beautiful handcrafted piece in blown glass, with an organic and sculptural character. The glass, worked hot against a honeycomb metal structure, has conformed to the relief of the mesh during blowing, creating a unique honeycomb texture directly integrated into the material. This work gives the vase a very sensory presence and a magnificent play of light. The amber hue naturally evolves from deep cognac at the neck to more golden and luminous shades at the base, depending on the thickness of the glass and the blowing technique. The small bubbles, slight irregularities, and subtle asymmetry of the shape testify to true artisanal craftsmanship. Pontil mark under the base. Light patina on the metal consistent with its age. Likely Italian or Mediterranean production from the 1960s–1970s, in the spirit of the artisanal glassworks of Empoli. Very beautiful alone as a sculptural object or with a few simple branches.
