MG5 Armchair Matteo Grassi

Cantilever armchair MG5 edited by Matteo Grassi in Italy in the 1970s/80s. An iconic piece of Italian design, combining a tubular structure in black lacquered metal with a seat, backrest, and armrest pads made of thick black quilted leather. Its cantilever construction and very graphic lines give it a silhouette that is both light and architectural, characteristic of the modernist design of this period. Authentic piece, with the "Matteo Grassi" stamp visible on the leather. The armchair is preserved in its original vintage condition. The leather shows a beautiful patina as well as signs of use related to its age: a few superficial scratches and wear on the edges of the seat and armrests, photographed in detail. The leather has no tears and the structure is in generally good condition. Approximate dimensions: H 79/80 × W 56 × D 54/55.
