Very rare empire fire shield in gilded bronze violin shaped around 1880. Silk-style fabric with floral decorations. Upper part decorated with a woman's face in foliage and interlacing. Lower part with grotesque decorations. Hectic shaped sides. Rests on 4 stylized animal feet. Very nice decorative element of high quality realization. Dimensions: h103x62x26.
