Himmelist

Himmeliste, digital printing on art paper 270gr. The himmeli are decorations made of strands of straw connected by an invisible thread, made in autumn to adorn the interiors until spring, in finland and the baltic countries. I love the idea of working with such care and patience a material as humble as straw. I like their fragility, and their astonishing durability which depends only on the delicacy with which they will be handled. Prints are limited to 30 copies. Each print is signed, numbered and then authenticated by a dry stamp that brings a nice waffle to the paper. Dimensions: 30x40 cm. Find me on instagram: @johannelicard.
