In 2019 I drew a series of close-ups views of flowers as a way to go beyond their often decorative presence and to look at them rather as alive beings. Looking at carnations, I discovered that I love how delicately crumpled the petals look, like some kind of scented crepe paper. Illustration printed on a beautiful 270gr textured art paper.
