Magnificent Artemide pendant lamp, Cosmic Rotation model by designer Ross Lovegrove. The product has never been installed and is still in its original packaging because I never actually moved into the apartment where I had planned to install it. Designed by Ross Lovegrove, a leading figure in organic and ecological design, the Cosmic collection embodies an organic sensibility and evokes poetic sensations! The sensual vocabulary and visual refinement of Cosmic Rotation appeal to our emotions. Cosmic Rotation is distinguished by its large, spherical, injection-molded opaline methacrylate shade, whose bumpy, rough surface, like reptile skin, creates superb geometric patterns. The shade forms a light and airy volume around the light source and affirms the lamp's dynamic personality. A painted aluminum disc located under the light source acts as a light reflector: indirect light is reflected on the inner surface of the diffuser. The light source's placement allows for maximum reflection while preventing glare. Once lit, this pendant creates subtle plays of light and shadow, highlighting shapes and revealing volumes.
